  • Recruit new members
  • Coordinate general membership meetings
  • Welcome attendees/newcomers and introduce to other members
  • Communicate with members on behalf of the chapter
  • Coordinate calling trees to ensure open communication and event reminders
  • Assist with increasing membership benefits and member development
  • Serve as greeter and facilitators at events
  • Assist with planning of member events
  • Assist in selecting speakers, locations, and topics
  • Identify potential sponsor for events
  • Identify events that meet members needs and develop a marketing plan to advertise events
  • Assist with media exposure
  • Build relationships with churches and community organizations.
  • Connect GTRA to faith based and community leaders.
  • Support outreach, service, and educational events.
  • Help expand community partnerships.
  • Promote GTRA’s mission through meaningful community engagement.
  • Identify ways GTRA can serve and make a stronger impact.

    • Identify and research grant opportunities
    • Identify key fundraising partners and donors in Toledo
    • Ensure supporters receive all benefits as outlined in sponsor agreements and recognition for their financial contributions prior to, during and after the event
    • Record and report sponsorship status
    • Assist in building relationships with the broader community and city officials
    • Recommend policy proposals and positions relative to home ownership in minority communities
    • Provide information only updates on city, state, and federal issues that affect minority communities
